How We Verified This List
Every fact about every firm below came off that firm's own website, fetched on October 9, 2026. Where a firm publishes nothing for a cell, the profile says "Not published." Five weighted criteria set the order.
How We Ranked: Five Weighted Criteria
Published band fit (30%). Does the firm state a size range that covers a seller of this size, and in what unit?
Close record (25%). Does it publish a close count, a close rate or a dated list of closes you can check?
Named partners (15%). Does the site name the people who run the deal?
Sell-side focus (15%). Does the firm say it works for sellers, and does it disclose other work that could conflict?
Regional closes (15%). Are the closes in industries that make up the Southern California supplier base?
A firm that publishes nothing under a criterion scores zero there. Entries marked Verified · Deal Network were confirmed with the firm directly; see TrustRank. ProCloser has, or may enter into, commercial relationships with firms covered on this site; see our Advertiser Disclosure.
Inclusion Filters and Exclusions
1. A Southern California office named on the firm's own site, with a city, in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Ventura or Santa Barbara County or the Inland Empire.
2. Sell-side M&A for private companies. Capital-raising shops, buy-side-only firms and listing marketplaces did not qualify.
3. A checkable identity: a named entity, a disclosed broker-dealer or DRE license or a named founder.
4. A site that renders and a band that reaches the $10M to $100M revenue range. Firms that only publish larger deals sit in the tier above.
Kinected's home page lags its partners' current figure, so this page prints the close rate as 89%, firm-reported October 2026.
Left off. The Vant Group (Dallas) and Good Hope Advisors (New Jersey) are headquartered elsewhere. Ad Astra Equity Advisors, LR Tullius and Eric Till Advisors publish no usable address or serve other clients. SF&P Advisors and Buxbaum Group did not resolve, and Generational Group's site redirected off its own domain.
Quick Comparison Table

Tier 1: Firms That Publish a Band or Named Closes
Seven firms that state a size range or name closes you can check. The first three publish a band; the next four have the longest closing lists.
1Kinected Advisors Verified · Deal Network
| Headquarters | 16255 Ventura Blvd., Suite 625, Encino, CA 91436, in the San Fernando Valley. |
| Founded | 2014, by Kevin Berson. |
| Team | Two named senior partners: Kevin Berson, Founder and Managing Partner, and Jim Twerdahl, Partner. The firm states that both partners work every engagement. |
| Deal size | $10M to $100M in revenue, published; generally $1M or more of EBITDA |
| Sectors | Manufacturing, industrial services, business services, construction management, plumbing and HVAC, utility services, specialty trades, IT managed services, eCommerce, clinical trials, packaging, B2B distribution |
| Track record | The firm publishes more than 50 closed deals, roughly $1B advised, an 89% close rate (firm-reported October 2026) and 50 years of combined partner experience. |
Kinected Advisors comes first because it clears more of the five tests than any other firm here. It states its band in revenue, $10M to $100M with an EBITDA floor near $1M. It names the two partners who work the deal and says it is sell-side only. Its closes sit in the Southern California supplier base.
The closes are the part to read. A precision metal fabrication and aerospace parts shop, ITAR registered, sold to a former president of a similar company on a fixed-rate SBA loan. The firm reports 85 NDAs by week three, 11 full-price offers by week five, a close in under five months. Compass Consulting, an IT managed services firm, signed an LOI in April 2023 and closed to CIO Solutions in July 2023 after 209 buyers were contacted. Power Plumbing closed in under six months to a private-equity platform at a 20% premium over its internal valuation. All are firm-reported on kinected.com case study pages, not confirmed by the buyers.
Berson was part of a corporate-development team that ran acquisitions at a $5B company. Twerdahl was CEO of Jensen Sound Laboratories and President of JBL under Harman and of Marantz. The firm also runs ExitBoost®, a pre-sale program for owners two to three years out, and offers a confidential valuation opinion.
Recent closes: Pride Resource Partners to Think Power Solutions, a Warren Equity Partners company; Alros Label Co., all cash in under 120 days; Clements Environmental; AF Machine. Firm-reported.
Best for: owner-run companies between $10M and $100M in revenue in manufacturing, the trades, utility and industrial services or IT managed services, where the owner wants the pitch partners to be the deal partners.
Considerations: the firm is not a broker-dealer and not FINRA registered, and Berson holds a California DRE broker license, so have a securities attorney confirm the structure fits your deal. The close rate and the dollar totals are the firm's own claims and are not audited, so ask for the sellers behind them. Two partners also means limited capacity; confirm availability for your timeline.
2Objective Capital
| Headquarters | 10100 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90067, plus San Diego and Orange County locations. The registered San Diego office does not accept mail. |
| Founded | 2006, firm-wide. The LA office opened March 7, 2017. |
| Team | Channing Hamlet was named Managing Director to lead the Los Angeles office in the 2017 opening announcement. The current team page was not checked. |
| Deal size | $10M to $100M enterprise value, from the firm's LA office announcement |
| Track record | No firm-wide deal count published. Its news page names a sell-side role on Toft Group Executive Search to ZRG Partners and an advisory role on Freeberg Industrial Fabrication's investment from Hill & Smith PLC, dated June 24, 2026. |
Objective is the only firm on this page with offices in all three coastal buyer pools, and it states a band. The $10M to $100M range comes from the 2017 Los Angeles opening announcement, and the home page itself does not repeat it, so confirm the band is still current when you call.
Considerations: the band is dated 2017 and not on the home page.
3Keystone Business Advisors
| Headquarters | 250 N. Westlake Blvd., Suite 230, Westlake Village, CA 91362. |
| Team | Not individually named as principals; the site names Dave Richards in a quoted endorsement and lists Keystone as a founding partner of Cornerstone International Alliance. |
| Deal size | Companies with annual sales of about $5M to $100M, published |
| Track record | Four named closes on the site; no deal count or close rate published. |
Keystone is the page's clearest answer for a seller near Westlake Village on the Ventura County line. It publishes a sales band that sits almost on top of the $10M to $100M range, and it names four buyers: Fusion Signs, Streamlined Precision 3, Rezolut and The Pella Group.
Considerations: no named engagement leads, no registration disclosed and no fee terms.
4Plethora Businesses
| Headquarters | 2117 W. Orangewood Ave., Orange, CA 92868. |
| Founded | 1999. |
| Team | Kari Laitinen is named as Vice President. The founder and principals are not named on the pages we loaded. |
| Deal size | Not published. A 2018 headline cites a $65M logistics transaction. |
| Track record | Says it has closed hundreds of sales; lists Vanguard Instruments to ESCO Technologies (2017), Wright Plumbing Supply to Ferguson (2018), Ferralloy to EQI (2024) and Madrid Inc. to Catalyst Acoustics Group (2024), among others. |
Plethora has the longest dated closing list of any Orange County firm we checked, and the deals read like the Southern California industrial base: instrument makers, plumbing supply, fasteners, fabrication, waterjet and laser shops. Several of the listed closes are from 2024 and 2025.
Considerations: no band and no named principals.
5CriticalPoint Partners
| Headquarters | 2101 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 4255, El Segundo, CA 90245. |
| Founded | 2012. |
| Team | Naaman Heyman is named Managing Director, Industrials Investment Banking; Curt Himebauch is named in business development. |
| Deal size | Not published. |
| Track record | Lists 8 clients by name, with no closing dates, including Only Agency to Presidio Investors, United Power Delivery to Pike Corporation, Multi-Pak Packaging to Truvant and Tool Gauge and Machine Works to DEMGY. |
CriticalPoint is the page's strongest South Bay option for an aerospace or defense supplier. Aerospace and defense is the first sector it lists, an industrials managing director is named on the site, and the closes include a machine works and a packaging company.
Considerations: no band published.
6Persient
| Headquarters | San Diego and Los Angeles; no street address published. |
| Team | Ashish Jariwala, Founder and Managing Member; Brian Gallagher, CPA, Director; Alan McFarland and Drummond Bell III, Senior Advisors. |
| Deal size | Not published; disclosed transaction values run from $17M to $500M, and the $17M and $45M items are private placements |
| Track record | Most listed engagements are exclusive sell-side roles, including Vector ($32M), PLP ($122M) and FriendFinder ($500M). |
Persient is the page's San Diego pick for sellers who want a named founder and a FINRA-registered structure. The deal list is mostly exclusive sell-side roles across packaging, chemicals, building products and life science services.
Considerations: no band.
7Meritage Partners
| Headquarters | 2901 West Coast Hwy, Suite 200, Newport Beach, CA 92663. |
| Team | No principals named; Brian Franco appears in testimonials only. |
| Deal size | Not published; describes lower-middle-market private companies |
| Track record | Four named closes: Haltom Engineering to GODSPEED, Heritage Construction to Tritium Partners, Schmidt Brothers Roofing to Allied Roofing Partners and Horizon Underground to NOVASTONE. |
Meritage lists architecture, engineering and construction first and backs it with closes: an engineering firm, a general contractor, a roofer and an underground contractor, all sold to named platforms. It lists 4 clients by name and publishes no band, team or registration, so check size and structure on a call. We read the site in 2026.
Considerations: no principals, band or registration published.

Get Personalized Recommendations →Tier 2: Firms With Thinner Public Records
Six firms that passed the filters but publish less: no band, fewer closes, a larger size or a structure closer to a brokerage. Each needs a longer first call.
8Intrepid Investment Bankers
| Headquarters | Los Angeles, CA; no street address published. |
| Team | No partners named on the home page. |
| Deal size | Not published. |
| Track record | Lists 13 clients in its recent transactions, among them BRT Extrusions to Can-Art Aluminum Extrusions, NLS Lighting to Schréder and Diamond Wipes to River Associates Investments. |
Intrepid is national first and Los Angeles second, which is both its strength and its caution for a $15M seller. The deal list shows industrial deals (aluminum extrusions, lighting) next to beauty and food brands, and Los Angeles is one of its 6 locations.
Considerations: no band, no partners named and no founding year.
9RA Capital Advisors
| Headquarters | 11988 El Camino Real, Suite 350, San Diego, CA 92130. |
| Team | No individuals named; the senior team is described as former CPAs and due diligence specialists. |
| Deal size | Not published; the two disclosed values are $325M and $1.1B and most listed deals have none |
| Track record | Named closes include Electrical Power Products to Flex, Crown Technical Systems to Flex, Sonatech to Kongsberg, ESHA Research to The Riverside Company and Mosaic451 to UltraViolet Cyber. |
RA Capital is the San Diego choice for a seller whose value is in technology or engineering, not in a service contract. The closes include an underwater acoustics company sold to a Norwegian defense group and a power products maker sold to Flex.
Considerations: the only disclosed deal values are well above $100M.
10Anomalie Group
| Headquarters | 9465 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 300, Beverly Hills, CA 90212. |
| Team | Rahn Amitai, David Barnes, Chandler Buie and Tracy Albert are listed as principals. |
| Deal size | Not published. |
| Track record | No closes named. |
Anomalie names 4 principals and a FINRA broker-dealer, which most firms on this page do not. As of 2026 it publishes no closes and no band, so it lands tenth: the structure checks out and the record is blank.
Considerations: no closes and no band.
11Montminy & Co
| Headquarters | 201 Santa Monica Blvd., Suite 480, Santa Monica, CA 90401. |
| Founded | 2009, by Joel Montminy and a group of professionals. |
| Team | Joel Montminy is the only person named. |
| Deal size | Not published. |
| Track record | No closes on the page we loaded; the site links to a separate experience section. |
Montminy has been in Santa Monica since 2009, which is 17 years as of 2026, and covers 7 sectors. The page we could load names one person, no band and no closes, so it sits in the lower half until a call fills those in.
Considerations: no band, closes or sell-side statement on the loaded page.
12Avant Advisory Group
| Headquarters | 4000 MacArthur, Suite 600, Newport Beach, CA 92660, plus a Los Angeles office. |
| Team | Only James F. Davidson is named, in press links, with no title. |
| Deal size | Not published. |
| Track record | No closes named; two unnamed case studies. |
Avant is a financial due diligence firm first, with 25 years of team experience, 2 street addresses and 0 named closes as of 2026. Call it for a sell-side quality of earnings report, as a companion to a banker.
Considerations: no closes, band or sectors.
13SeaRidge Advisory
| Headquarters | San Diego, California; no street address published. |
| Team | Dave Carlson and Matt Lowd are named as co-founders. |
| Deal size | Not published on its own site. |
| Track record | No closes named. |
SeaRidge runs specialist brands for narrow industries and says its work is sell-side. It holds a California real estate broker license, not a broker-dealer registration, and lets buyers register on the same site, which puts it nearer a brokerage than the banks above it.
Considerations: brokerage license, no FINRA reference, no closes, no band, and a buyer registration page on the same site.
What 2026 Deal Data Shows for Southern California Companies
The ProCloser deal index holds 2,126 announced acquisitions, each with one source link. We searched every row for about 50 Southern California place names and checked each hit against its source article. The result is thin.
One deal verified. On January 7, 2026, Cineverse bought Giant Worldwide, a media services provider for studios and streaming platforms, in an all-cash deal with undisclosed terms. Cineverse's release carries a Los Angeles dateline, and the release names no advisors. Source: Cineverse press release.
Two rows we could not confirm. The index lists DineUp, a Los Angeles charter-flight catering platform, as bought by Goodwin on October 8, but the source page blocked our fetch and another tracker dates it September 15. Presidio's July 13 purchase of LookingPoint is described only as California-based. We use neither.
Why we stop here. One verified regional deal out of 2,126 means the index cannot rank Southern California advisors by deals closed, and neither can anyone using public announcements. The closes in the profiles come from the firms' own sites and are labeled firm-reported.
The Honest Tier Below This Band
Under roughly $2M of revenue, most firms here will decline. Pacific Business Sales, an Irvine brokerage that says it has operated since 2002, describes deals from about $1M to $50M and shows a named brokerage license. Inland Empire searches returned brokers we found only in third-party directories and did not verify. A broker fits when the likely buyer is an individual with an SBA loan. See business brokers versus M&A advisors.
The Honest Tier Above This Band
Above roughly $100M of enterprise value, or when you want a national bank's buyer list, the field changes. Imperial Capital lists a Los Angeles office at 10100 Santa Monica Blvd., Suite 2400. Capstone Partners and B. Riley Securities are FINRA members whose sites listed no Southern California address on the pages we loaded. Houlihan Lokey's office page would not load, so we make no claim about it. None belongs in a ranking for $10M to $100M revenue owners.
What These Advisors Charge in 2026
None of the 13 firms publishes a rate card. The ranges below come from our M&A advisory fees guide and describe the middle market in general. Use them to check an engagement letter.
| Deal Size (EV) | Retainer, Monthly | Success Fee | Approx Total at Close |
|---|---|---|---|
| $2M to $5M | $0 to $5,000 | Around 6% to 10%, often with a minimum fee | $150K to $500K |
| $5M to $15M | $5,000 to $10,000 | Around 4% to 6% | $300K to $800K |
| $15M to $50M | $10,000 to $20,000 | Around 3% to 5% | $600K to $2.0M |
| $50M to $100M | $15,000 to $25,000 | Around 2% to 3% | $1.2M to $3.0M |
Ask two things the table cannot show: whether the monthly retainer is credited against the success fee at close, and what the minimum fee is. A $400,000 minimum on a $6M sale is well past the 4% to 6% band.
The Frames We Use in This Guide
1. The Three Buyer Pools Test
Rule: Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego draw different buyers. Number: only Objective Capital shows offices in all three. Act: ask each finalist which of its last five buyers came from outside its home county.
2. The Aerospace Supplier Test
Rule: a precision parts shop sells on certifications and customer lists. Number: Kinected reports 85 NDAs, 11 offers and a close in under five months on its aerospace parts case study, to an SBA-financed individual buyer. Act: ask whether your advisor has sold an ITAR-registered shop, and to whom.
3. The Inland Empire Gap
Rule: logistics and light manufacturing sit inland, and the advisors who sell them sit on the coast. Number: zero Inland Empire advisory firms passed our checks. Act: ask a coastal firm for a closed deal where the buyer wanted a warehouse or plant, not only the company.
4. The San Diego Life Sciences Skew
Rule: San Diego buyers lean toward life sciences, defense and technical manufacturing. Number: RA Capital Advisors lists an acoustics sale to Kongsberg. Act: if you sell to labs or the Navy, say so first.
5. The SBA-Versus-PE Buyer Line
Rule: below a certain size an individual with an SBA loan is the likely buyer, and above it a private-equity platform is. Number: the maximum 7(a) loan is $5 million per the SBA. Act: near that line, ask whether the advisor's last three closes were to individuals or platforms.
How to Verify an Advisor
- Find the signing entity. Objective Capital, Persient, CriticalPoint Partners, Anomalie Group and RA Capital Advisors each name a broker-dealer. Search that exact name on FINRA BrokerCheck.
- Check the license for non-FINRA firms. Plethora Businesses and SeaRidge Advisory show California real estate broker numbers; look them up and ask which entity signs.
- Ask who runs the deal and get the name in writing.
- Ask for a closed deal like yours: same industry, same size, last three years, with the buyer type.
The Traps in a Best Southern California Advisor List
- A published band is a claim. Objective's dates from 2017 and Kinected's is its own statement.
- Enterprise value and revenue are different units. A $10M revenue company is often below a $10M enterprise value floor.
- Close rates are self-reported and rarely come with a denominator.
- A brokerage license is not a broker-dealer registration. Know which one you are hiring.
Where ProCloser Fits
ProCloser is not an M&A advisor and does not sell companies. We run a deal-matching network and a public deal index, and we are paid by advisory firms, not sellers. Everything factual about a named firm is sourced to its own website. See the matching service.
The Bottom Line
Call Kinected Advisors first if you run a $10M to $100M revenue manufacturer, trades company or IT services firm, then Objective Capital for a second view. Ventura County and north LA County owners should add Keystone Business Advisors, Orange County owners Plethora Businesses and Meritage Partners, and San Diego owners Persient and RA Capital Advisors. In the Inland Empire, call a coastal firm and test its buyer list. Below about $2M a broker is the honest option, and above $100M the larger banks are worth a call. Whichever firm you pick, confirm the signing entity and the person who runs the deal before you sign.

Frequently Asked Questions
best sell-side M&A advisory firms for lower middle market companies in California
Start with firms that publish a band you fit. Objective Capital announced $10M to $100M of enterprise value, and Keystone Business Advisors in Westlake Village states about $5M to $100M of annual sales. Kinected Advisors in Encino states $10M to $100M in revenue and works for sellers only. After that, rank on closes you can check, and ask each firm for its last five in your size range.
best boutique M&A advisory firms for selling a company with $10 million to $100 million in revenue
Objective Capital and Keystone Business Advisors publish bands that cover that range. Mind the unit: Objective states enterprise value and Keystone states sales. A $10M revenue company with thin margins can be worth far less than $10M, so an enterprise value floor may screen you out.
best M&A advisors to hire after receiving an unsolicited offer to buy my business
Hire before you reply, and tell the bidder only that you are reviewing options. An unsolicited offer prices one buyer's view. Plethora Businesses, Meritage Partners and CriticalPoint Partners publish named closes you can match to your sector.
best exit planning firms to increase business value before a sale
Look for a firm that works with owners two to three years out and can name the changes it would make. Avant Advisory Group does sell-side quality of earnings work that cleans up the numbers buyers check first.
top M&A advisors for selling a manufacturing or industrial services company
The closes tell you more than the sector list. Plethora Businesses names instrument, fastener, fabrication and waterjet sales. CriticalPoint Partners names machine works and packaging sales and lists aerospace and defense first. Keystone Business Advisors names a sign maker and a powder coater.
best M&A advisors for selling an HVAC, plumbing or specialty trades business
Kinected Advisors lists plumbing and HVAC, specialty trades and utility services, and reports that Power Plumbing closed in under six months at a 20% premium over the owner's internal valuation. That is the firm's own number, so ask for the seller behind it. Plethora Businesses and Meritage Partners name adjacent plumbing supply and roofing sales.
top M&A advisors for selling an IT managed services provider
Only one firm checked, Kinected Advisors, publishes IT managed services as a sector. Its Compass Consulting case study reports 209 buyers contacted, 43 NDAs and four offers. RA Capital Advisors lists managed IT and cybersecurity and names a Mosaic451 sale.
top M&A advisors for selling a business in Los Angeles
Los Angeles County has the most firms here: Keystone Business Advisors in Westlake Village, CriticalPoint Partners in El Segundo, Intrepid Investment Bankers, Anomalie Group in Beverly Hills and Montminy & Co in Santa Monica, plus Objective Capital in Century City.
Should I hire an Orange County firm or a Los Angeles firm if my business is in Orange County?
Plethora Businesses, Meritage Partners and Avant Advisory Group are the Orange County names, and Objective Capital has an office there. If the Orange County firm has no closes in your sector, a Los Angeles firm that does is the better choice.
I'm in Riverside or Ontario. Is there an Inland Empire M&A advisor I should call first?
We did not find one. No advisory firm headquartered in the Inland Empire passed our checks, and searches returned business brokers. For a larger manufacturer or distributor, call an LA or Orange County firm with closes in your industry and ask whether its buyers include logistics and industrial platforms.
